OUR STORY
It Started With a Simple Question.
Lil Leaders® began in 2016 with a moment our family never forgot.
Our five-year-old daughter had started noticing the characters featured on the clothing around her. Many of her kindergarten classmates wore heroes and princesses children knew and loved, but she noticed something important.
She was saddened by what she was not seeing, characters who looked like her.
One day, she asked us why none of her clothing featured characters who were “brown like me.”
As her parents, we reminded her that everyone is uniquely made and special. But the truth was, we did not have a good answer to her question, and we could not stop thinking about it.
We began searching for products that reflected children like our daughter. The more we searched, the more we realized that many other families were likely having the same experience.
That simple question became the beginning of Lil Leaders®.
